So the New Orleans city council plans to re-name some 37 streets, parks and other civic monuments that had been named for Civil War figures. What I wonder is how Google Maps, Waze and other GPS aps are going to keep up with the name changes. Will the data base have both names or will people not be able to find the new street because the software only knows the old name? What is the cost of all these modifications?
And as I said before, why do we still have things named after signers of the Southern Manifesto?

The Lord Mayor will get herself a grant from the feds for the costs. Or just take it from NOPD's funding and furlough some more of them.
Sigh, this is getting out of hand, and that's a damn good question as to when/if the updates ever get done to the map programs.
