Glenlivet 15 Year Old French Oak Reserve

Glenlivet is a Speyside scotch and one of the oldest distilleries dating from 1824. This scotch is aged in French Oak casks. It does make a difference.

Color: gold
Nose: citrus, fruit
Palate: gentle, smooth
Body: light
Finish: smooth, soothing

This is a great scotch for the beginner as it has absolutely no trace of harshness.

I hardly drink anymore but when I do I like the opposite end of the spectrum, Laphroaig or some other Islay but you're right, that's a good starter for somebody new to the Scot version of the "water of life".

Cheers (maybe in about 10 hours :-)

Drilling after Shackleton's lost scotch in Antarctica. The company wants to compare those samples to the new blend.
